Scorpio Full Moon 2021
Oof, this chart is a doozy.
I will say that about literally every chart though, and here’s why: they all want us to come away with some form of growth. Even in a chart with all blue lines (harmonious aspects), we’d still have to have conjunctions going on, and conjunctions are a challenging aspect.
But let’s get into this chart.
I’ve included my favorite asteroids just because they bring in energies that no other planet will directly speak to, Lilith (independent woman vibes), Ceres (reaping and sowing), Pallas (strategic warrior, as opposed to the brute impulsive force of Mars), Juno (unions), Vesta (the hearth and home), and Eris (chaos and discord).
In all full moons, the moon opposes the sun, and in this full moon the moon is in deep, intense scorpio, with the sun opposing in luxuriating and deliberate taurus. the most stolid of the Earth vs the deepest of Water. Think, the foundation of a mountain vs Marianna’s Trench (the deepest part of the ocean).
And in this chart, the sun is being backed up by Uranus, the planet of change and rebellion (and innovation, revolution, and the nervous system). The sun is our vitality, where we draw energy from, and the moon is feelings, our emotional world. They are naturally in a tug-of-war, as I explained, but the sun’s vitality is being given a lot of pivots and right-angle quick changes. We may be feeling like we can’t luxuriate (taurus) in our present moments because it keeps changing (Uranus), or we just can’t hold onto doing something long enough to soak in our feels about a thing (scorpio moon) because our energy (sun) keeps redirecting (Uranus) perhaps because we just can’t get comfortable (taurus).
Either way, there will be a big theme of not feeling comfortable enough in our resources (taurus) to hold the sheer weight of our feelings (scorpio moon).
It’s going to be intense—anything involving scorpio is going to be intense.
Additionally, this full moon opposition is forming a T-square to Saturn in aquarius. Saturn is our rules, structure, systems, responsibilities, etc. The fact that Uranus is being given extra drive from being conjunct the sun makes me think that this Saturn aspect will be bringing to the very forefront our systemic structures. And in T-squares, the tension between the opposing planets gets pushed onto the focal point of the T-square, in this case, Saturn.
The derek chauvin trial might be over, but he was one example of a very harmful system (and I think we’re going to see a lot of uproar about that system in center stage).
Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, and it carries a lot of that “let’s make this thing better for everyone” kind of energy. Saturn in aquarius wants to change entire systems and structures—the very pillars of a society—into something that everyone can stand on. Saturn in aquarius walks up to a platform, pries it apart, throws out the rotted pieces of wood, and then calls in all of the onlookers to help it build a bigger platform so everyone can stand on it.
With us not having the resources (taurus) to hold the weight of our feelings (scorpio moon), but having the energy to change (Uranus), I think that tension will get pushed onto the work and responsibilities (saturn) we demand from each other as a culture (aquarius). Fingers crossed we might begin to see the start of some serious action being taken that gets the ball rolling on what the heck we as a country will do with the rotted platform that is our law enforcement industry.
That’s my breakdown of this chart, anyway.
